Baby with Wooden Toy

Honeybees Room

The Honeybee room is a bright open plan room where areas of toys are set out and the children can access their own resources. Mealtimes and messy play activities take place in this room and include playing with cornflour, playdough, paint, water and many more tactile resources.

The children’s home routines are closely followed when children initially join the setting, this helps the babies settle into nursery life. As the babies spend most of the day crawling around the room the Honeybees have a no shoe policy, this ensures the safety and increases cleanliness for the babies. Exploring food is a focus in the baby room, the children are provided with balanced meals including finger foods where they can discover new tastes at their own pace.
