The Little Cubs room is an open plan area where children enjoy sensory messy play activities such as water play and painting. Children can access their own resources at a low level and enjoy practicing crawling and walking skills.

 

There is a quiet area which allows the children to have a sleep when required and the children’s individual home routine is followed to help and ensure consistency which helps them feel safe and secure. Mealtimes are an important focus time as the children at this age explore food and discover different textures.

 

The children are provided with balanced meals including fingers foods to encourage their exploration of different foods and tastes.
