Our first Tigers Day Nursery was founded by Alison Huntley in 1994 who was unable to find the expert, quality childcare that she was seeking for her own children at that time.
Since then, the company has grown from strength to strength with now 3 wonderful settings. We have also now established our own centre of excellence – The Tigers Training Centre, expanding into new settings and providing exceptional care and a safe, fun-filled learning environment for children aged three months to five years.
Excellence in all aspects of childcare is what Tigers Day Nurseries strive to achieve. Every member of our staff is trained to the highest standard and is a qualified first aider. All staff are rigorously checked and registered with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS); many have been with us for years, giving continuity and a real ‘family feel’ to our nurseries. Our staff love their work, bringing warmth, love and a feeling of security to the children in their care.

Care is a small word that means a great deal at Tigers Day Nurseries. We care about our children, keeping them safe and secure and treating each as an individual so that they can learn at their own pace and develop self-confidence, supporting their development while they simply play and enjoy their day’s activities. We care about our staff, providing ongoing quality training, mentoring junior members within each team and encouraging all to develop new skills and knowledge. We care about our parents, understanding their concerns, offering reassurance, keeping them involved and sharing their child’s day at nursery with them.
